On His Mission of Experiments

Artist has done many experiments in his life time and used various tools and worked on severals mediums to express his creative realms.

Pen Drawings
The artist drew several graphics using rotring drawing pen on paper by bringing varying tonal values and contrast in the graphic.

Water Colour Medium
The artist drew several figuratives and still-life paintings using water colours on paper. One can see the varying degree of transperency in the colours used by him.

Water Colour Paintings

Roller-print by Oil Colour/Water Proof Inks
This is the unique technic adopted by the artist using hand-roller, paper masks and paints/inks. The images are transfered by the inked hand-roller on to the paper by placing paper masks. The masks are cut to represent the figures which are part of the painting theme. The painting is done by several roller repeats of varying viscousity of the oil paints/water proof inks. This technic is done on paperboard and mounted on to a hard wooden board. His works won several awards besides one of his work won the Gold Medal from A.P. Lalit Kala Akademi.

Photo Painting
The artist used the developing solution and photo bromide paper in the place of paints and paper or canvas. He drew still-life and figuratives, using brush dipped in a developing solution on to the exposed light sensitive bromide paper. The developing solution reacts with the silver-salts on the exposed bromide paper and turn to varying black masses represents still-life and figuratives drew by the artist. The untouched areas on the bromide paper is treated by rinsing in a fixing solution made of sodium thio sulphate popularly known as ‘hypo’.

Offset Prints
The artist uses the offset printing method to get print on paperboard. The artist directly draw on the aluminum plate using greasy ink. Applying the offset principle; grease and water does not mix, the press is run to take a print on paperboard. Repeat runs are made by changing colours on the press and mis-registering the image will creates a dramatic effects in painting. The printed paperboard is then mounted on to a hard wooden board.

Marble Stones and Pebbles
Besides painting the artist explored himself as a sculptor and used marble stone rubble and pebbles to create fascinating stone sculptures. One of his work titled ‘Forms’ won the Gold Medal from A.P. Lalit Kala Akademi . Also won Binnela Award for his miniature sculpture titled ‘United’.
